ALTERNATE TO LASER

Thanks USGA. We find that there appears to be a change in the use of measuring devices on the golf course during play. A summary of the full story is included in the related article below written by my friends at MyGolfSpy:

Arccos and the USGA

If you have ever used GPS system instead of a Laser unit, this ARCCOS system appears to be the answer we have been looking to discover. I have been using a hard copy distance layout created on my computer awaiting this decision from the USGA. We have all been statically keeping our shot information round by round and trying to keep it in our brains. Some have been transcribing and moving to spread sheets. With this decision there may be an elimination of the yardage book so meticulously maintained by tour caddies and players.

Personally, I consider this a good investment for those seeking help on the course. It will be interesting to see if each of the other system will step up and get approval from the USGA on their systems.

Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it tough to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about creating my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any points or suggestions? Thanks
